So Mr Evans is organising his own carfest and PC is doing a two day restoration at the event held in Jody Scheckter's field.
Have you seen the ticket price £60 each for a single day of the two day event.....is he for real.?????

For younger members who may not be able to remember the days when Ms Piper was married to Mr Evans, here's a photo of her that I just scabbed off the interweb:

Meh, I still would.

I thought about going, but then I had a good read, you can apply to have your car in the show, otherwise you have to park outside, you can camp for the whole weekend for £85 each, so why is one days entry almost that? For us as a family with 2 kids, to go for just a day would be £140 plus petrol there and back, and not necessarily even be in the 'show' with the car, which kind of defeats the object. Considering this is supposed to be for Children in Need, I'm sure they'd make more money if the ticket price wasn't so high as to deter many enthusiasts. Needless to say it's £200 I won't be spending!

It's the usual

"charge a lot of rich people a lot of money" and raise a lot of money because those who can afford it will pay to go"

or

"charge regular people like us a pittance, have more people turn up but not make so much money"

If it raises a lot of money for Children in Need, which it will, then good on him :D

Dave

ps I won't be going though
