Hi all,

The Retrowarwick show/meet is back again for 2012 and will be on Sunday 12TH August. Retrowarwick is for all classic/retro cars, bikes, scooters, commericals and hot rods.

The thread from last year with loads of pictures is here:-

Retrowarwick is completely free. You don't need to prebook.....just turn up, park and enjoy over 100 classic cars and over 100 classic bikes and scooters in Warwick's picturesque Market Square. The Market Square, locate in warwick town centre, offers 4 pubs on site, numerous cafes and coffee shops, . Warwick town centre has a variety of shops, a museum and of course a massive castle, so there is plenty for all the family to do.

Due to overwhelming popularity last year and the Square's limited amount of space, priority will be given to retro/classic cars. Therefore, this year there will be a strict cut off date of no cars built or registered after 1990. This is to keep the theme of show retro and classic. Exceptions will happily be made, such as retro yank muscle cars, lotus 7 style kit cars etc (ie no cars that you normally see in Tescos carpark every day).

Also, the "Mods and Rockers Run" organised by the All or Nothing Scooter club and the Meriden branch of the Triumph bike owners club, will start from the Square at 11am.

Please get in touch if you have an questions.

Cheers

And breathe...... It could have been worse. ;)

Many, many worthy motors there by the looks of it. I'd happily have gone home in any one of them, but after the red '57 Bel air Coupé, this Consul Capri please:

Sorry you were upset by the modern cars (ka, boxster, r400 and the 2 bimmers) but as the Market Square has public roads going through it, they were parked up overnight and were there when i arrived to set up at 730am. Not much I can do until the owners turn up.....but i do consider the figaro as a true retro design and very happy for it to be there (and the figaro first came out in 1989 so come under the 1990 cut off for this show). Considering well over 130 classics turned up, there was at least plenty of retro metal to see.

not critisizing the organisation, that's always 100% but maybe the council should do more to make sure the area is clear. It is always a great event and next year I hope to be presenting a mid engined fuel injected 1966 morris minor, I was there a couple of years ago with that diesel front wheel drive moggy.
