It rained in my neck of the woods on Sunday so any work to progress was curtailed. However I did manage to check my latest update to the website and post it. Atho the absolute latest pic's aren't published, most of it is blue now.

So what have we got, basically a pictorial history of my life with HWV 135X over the last few years. Feel free to browse the whole site it won't cost and there are no bloody adverts, just a pictorial essay of my Sundays and weeks off, hopefully punctuated in a light hearted manner.

Click here http://www.ajmckelvey.co.uk/New%20Car%2 ... rhome.html when you get there you can go home and browse my other passions but sadly I spend so much time one the car I don't get round to doing the rest, altho 3.5 hours on guitar on Sunday afternoon was nearly as bad as hand rubbing down ha! ha! I had, had my fix on Saturday, in mostly p*****g rain.

ajmin,
I have an '82 Jag Sovereign. There's a pic here;

It's a shame the way these cars rust. Thankfully mine spent it's early years in the US Southwest (a very dry place!) so the tinrot has been kept at bay. I have already addressed the classic Series III rot under the rear and front glass. I am glad I found your thread though as I never realized that the scuttle drained into the interior metalwork at the rear of the front wheel well(s). What a brain-dead thing to do!!! Does it drain into both sides???

Anyway, your car looks as if it will turn out really nice when you are finished. I like the color you chose. It reminds me a bit of the old surplus RAF greatcoats that were all the rage when I was a teen.

Cheers,

Jim
