Thermometer thingies.

Hello All!
Does anybody have any experience with those infra-red thermometers? You know the one that's like a gun, you point the red dot on whatever you're measuring and it gives you a digital reading?

I'd like to get one to check stuff like exhaust temp, radiator temp, etc.
Any recommendations??

Thanks,
Paul.

I've got one like this. Seems to be ok and not too expensive.

Maplin do that one as well

They work OK in my experience, just make sure that you select one that measures high enough if you're checking manifold temps, as some of the cheaper ones don't measure too high

I got a Maplin, as well. Works satisfactory enough, in my opinion.

Thanks for the feedback guys. How hot is high enough for manifolds, etc?
