OK, this is it, I need to decide on a colour. My number 1 choice is black as this was the original colour. However, I have had to do the paint prep myself and will be spraying myself due to financial constraints. Given this fact and that I've heard and read so many warnings about how black will show up every imperfection that I'm trying to selle on a light colour. The pics below are just some that I found on google, they aren't my short-list or anything. Please let me know what you think! My interior is dark green in colour, I have everything except carpets, so these could be another colour if necessary! I also have no hood, so the colour of this can also be decided upon depending on body colour. If you have suggestions other than those below, let me know!
Grey:
Grassy green:
Creamy:
Bluey-grey:
grey-ey-blue:
Thanks folks! Plese feel free to add your own suggestions!

Last one looks good, subtle but not over bearing.
Classy too.,
And you could get away with pretty almost any colour for the roof too.
the choice is yours.##

Two tone jobbies often hide the worst and show off the best bits.
Just a thought

The cream would be fantastic and guess what - you can get away with a lot more sins than you ever could with a deep dark colour (not that I ever would) but if it is the first one that you have done I recommend something like a cream or off white - it would also go well with the interior colour.

You have a green interior, so anything blue or blue-ish is out for me.
I like the 2-tone idea - fun to paint, too, so I'd go with the grassy green and cream combination.
Cheers!

+1 - cream body, green wings, interior, and hood.

This Grey Lady was at Loton last year and looked stunning:

Doubt if it would go with a green interior, but the same division of cream and eg. Sherwood Green might work.

Thanks guys, I like the cream and wine look a lot, I'm not sure how it would work with green, I guess it depends on the shade of green! I have 2 issues/queries with it though:
1. Would it have ever been painted like this when it was first made?
2. The wine is on the 4 wings which are the areas where I am most concerned about the shape of my prep work! so, would the darker paint here show up any wobbles & spoil the look?

I present for the group's entertainment, a study in colour:
My personal favourite is the bottom right one. Black also works well, but I think the green is overall a better choice.
