Interesting site ... Only 17 Citroen Ami 6's on the road, apparently. No wonder no one knows what it is. :)

 22, yes that's TWENTY TWO Triumph Dolomite automatics (but 123 manual cars) left. Best buy me a few more while they're still turning up on eBay occasionally.......

Jeffrey Archer must have compiled these "statistics" methinks.

That's 22 on the road John.

 Nah, that's Aisin-Warner 71 'boxes in Volvo 240s of a certain age that you're thinking of, aren't you? It's about eleven years since I last had a leaky 240 Estate and if you go to the place I used to live back then, the dead patch on the lawn still hasn't grown back in.
Here in Lego-like semi-detached suburbia, we don't keep cars on the lawns. Well not all that often.

@JPB, The model designations on that site are as they appear on V5s. Looking at all models including SORN there are 4 1500 autos left, 65 1500HL autos, 52 1850HL autos, 47 no designation autos, and 49 Sprint autos making a total of 217.

The info on the site is from a document published by the DVLA as an excel file, so should be fairly accurate. Obviously there will be other cars that are laid up with no SORN that won't be counted.

I don't know where those numbers have come from, thin air I reckon, they're downright bizarre! In 1994 there were 1353 Triumph Vitesses, by 1995 115 had gone, but wait....in 1996 636 have appeared from nowhere  ............ and so it goes with Vitesses appearing and dissappearing over the years like magic
1968 Triumph Vitesse Mk1 2 litre convertible, Junior Miss rusty has a 1989 998cc Mk2 Metro, Mrs Rusty has a modern common rail diesel thing.
