Serves you right for having hair. I used to polish my head with a Diesel-soaked rag and that did the job just fine after a car-related sticky goo incident.
I haven't a single strand of fur anywhere, smooth as Anna Friel's left buttock, ideal for crawling underneath and applying Ensis V by brush.
And to the point: Today, I got between a couple of 1940s Austin (12s?) on the spine road out of here, which was pleasant enough. Weird thing was that both were wearing Portuguese plates.

That's a first, a Landrover that does not have a 'One life, Live it' sticker on it

A load of foreign registered (Mostly LHD) just went past the shop. I saw MGAs, Jaguar XK140 Coupe, Triumph Spitfire, Alfa Spiders, MG TD and a later Midget (Spridget variety), Porsche 911 and 928. The plates looked French bit I don't think you need country badges anymore

I didn't
see any Micras; were you amongst them Rich

Nice Minor, but it's a shame when they lose their original plates as that one has.
On the other hand, you don't get to read the modern, SV issue from the pilot's chair and black ones are quite unusual, so I still would.
