Re: What classic vehicles have you seen?
I think it was a Ferrari 250 GT..
forerunner to the GTO, in Withyham garage, it was ...red and lovely
Re: What classic vehicles have you seen?
spotted a Toyota tercel 4wd the other day, think i want one of those too now...
Re: What classic vehicles have you seen?
Rich are you in France ? Do they have scrapyards? I've an idea !
Re: What classic vehicles have you seen?
they have the casse auto... scrappy to you & me although when i needed parts for my escort it was cheaper to buy new.. what are you thinking?
Re: What classic vehicles have you seen?
Seat covers! like , knackered drivers seats... and swapping between enthusiasts on the continent. I'd be happy paying 50 quid for a good skin out of a LHD for my RHD Fiesta...
Re: What classic vehicles have you seen?
Now that's an idea worthy of the dragons' cash!
You could sell a UK passenger seat as an unworn driver's seat for a French car or better yet; exchange the good UK passenger one for a good French one from the passenger side of the French car. Is it just me?.....
That wouldn't work for seats where the driver's side one has a different frame to give it reclining, height adjustment and lumbar support adjustment or whatever else is absent on the passenger's seat. Triumph Dolomite, Reliant kitten and VW Golfs of a certain age for example. There'll be others, those are from three of the makes and models that I own or have owned but on the other hand, there are more Fords than any other make in breakers' yards so if Fiesta seats are the same side for side then good luck.

Re: What classic vehicles have you seen?
Went to http://www.west-somerset-railway.co.uk/ yesterday. My mother came with me, as she hadn't been there and liked the idea of a steam train ride along the coast (When my mother had her first job, she commuted by steam train). We took the Midget and left it at Stogumber station, which is very safe. We collected it to take lunch at the White Horse Inn, at Stogumber, which is just over a mile from the station (Normally I walk this, as I usually travel to the WSR by train and bus). Highly recomended

I saw this Leyland coach at Bishops Lydeard Station, which was taking on passengers.
.
Just off the A358, between Bishops Lydeard and Crowcombe, I spied a green TR4 (Could have been a 5) lying in a field
On the way back, I saw a Rover P5 going the other way.

A few MGBs just when past the shop and as I got to the door, a TD and a YT (You don't see many MG YTs) followed them
