What classic vehicles have you seen?

I said to someone just the other day 'you never see a Renault 12, 14, 16 or a Fuego these days, even in France, do you?'
Yesterday I was strolling through a village not 3km from home when I saw a 12 tucked into an open barn and a Fuego dumped in someone's garden. Both looked not too far off roadworthy. I'd post some pix but I can't see how.
Now a 16 would be a sight for sore eyes round here but if all the 14s have rusted away then so much the better.

I was on a site visit on Tuesday at a large house in Enfield North London to take a look at some future works and came across this LWB left hand drive and has been sat under the trees for years

Then today this slightly shabby but rare Vauxhall Viva HB Estate has I pulled in to fill up at Sainsburys in Kings Langley nr Watford

A superb grey Triumph Herald on B2133 nr Billingshurst this afternoon.

Just waved bye bye this morning to a nice grey 1959 Moggie Minor, it'd been here for brakes, electrics, odd jobs and a general corrosion check and welding session / wax oiling before being pressed into service as a daily runner.

Just a little bit scary to think it was running around with fresh air and a bit of rust holding the back rear spring hangers, no MoT but at least the man wanted it giving a going over. Makes you wonder whats being pressed into service elsewhere now..

Its coming back shortly for an alt conversion so I might try for a piccy.

Also seeing a 2 door AND a 4 door classic Range Rover everytime I go outside... but they don't count as the boy is responsible for their residence here.

Sorry to burst your bubble but I know of a Renault 14TS is Scotland which has not rusted away!

You never did see many TS models, which I recall had 1.4 litre engines and around about 70bhp (Good for about 100mph). I seem to recall most had red seats.

My late grandfather's last car was a 14GTL (BBO 343T).

Ooh, that's a clean wee thing. I love a R14 almost as much as I love a Talbot Tagora. Don't suppose you'd have one of those hidden away by any chance?

I'm glad that it stays the other side of the border, because that R14 illustrates perfectly why it is that "howmanyleft" info is basically piffle: HML only counts cars in England and Wales, there could (I wish) be thousands of R14s and other seemingly scarce motors over there and they simply wouldn't be counted!
Good on you for bucking the trend.
