Rich, think of the fender skirt idea as something to keep me
occupied and keep me going when the weather is bad or I can't
work directly on the car for whatever reason.
And they are of course a work in progress
John it was easier to work with the Vaseline than the cling-film!!
(Waiting to hear johns gears crunch and grind on that info

)

No comment M'Lud. I had some stiff nuts so was hurriedly cracking one off in the garage at the time of the alleged offence. No chickens, rubber or otherwise, were harmed in the making of this post.

With reference to the fender skirts.
This is a rough idea of what I was thinking/meaning along the line of.
And done in msn paint so sorry for how crude this picture is.
And the rear should be lowered to level the car off so I have lifted the
wheel higher in the picture to give the same effect/impression.
The rub strip carried across to meet the bumper to complete the effect.
But the rub strip will also hide the different plains of surfaces, as the top
above the rubs strip is easy to match, below the rub strip the back part
of the fender skirt will need to be a little further out to cope with the
wheel. If done well nobody would be able to see this.

Well it's raining out side again!!
Exhaust part ordered as going t get a pipe connector to bridge the
gap which will be created when I cut the dodgy end of the exhaust
pipe off.
I have been spraying wd40 on the nuts and bolts on the rear left
hub ready to take the lot apart to get the grinder in and to sort
the brakes out in that corner(one corner at a time)
As I said before car first in good weather, the extras are done in
the shed during the bad stuff
(and not on the side in the kitchen or mum will kill me!!)
