.....fuel costs, badge, insurance premium, desirability to people who steal cars, commonness (every other bloody Dolly's a Sprint now, regardless of whether they left the factory that way ;) )
Yours is much less common too.

And the trim, apart from the 140mph speedometer (and the extra dials, which all four-lamp Dolomites had anyway) is exactly the same, only yours has those neat little door caps instead of the B&Q-style deeper ones.

Don't knock the TC mate, it's one sexy bit of kit. Though, TBH I already 'spent my allowance' over the images of Alan's recently restored Dolomite.....

:D

Here's two of mine:

Image
My 1972 Triumph Dolomite 1850 auto (a Sprint it isn't despite the alloys) which I'm hoping to put back on the road when funds permit. (at least I won't have to give any money to the DVLA for a tax disc!)

Image
This 1983 Triumph Acclaim HLS which was bought just over a year ago for only £100 is my daily driver.

'Barney' .. my 1984 Maestro 1.3 HLE
Phwooooorrrr... this Maestro really is the stuff of dreams. I'll bet it has an electrically-charged brown nylon interior too? Erotic.

Very good work, Martin.

At last I can post stuff from Flickr!

Here are my three babies:

The first, my Ferguson (petrol/paraffin), ready to be sold!

My DB7 as bought!

OK, it's a David Brown 780 (as opposed to a 770): as it is now

Image

My DB9! Not much has changed on this - I was waiting to get the Fergy and the 780 finished!

Hi everyone.

Some great cars posted so far. Thought I'd post a few pics of our fleet... some undergoing restoration, some in regular use.. some 'future classics' (??!)..

My nearly completed TR6 restoration (body panels to be repainted and fitted this year). You can also see my Alfa and Jeep in this one:

Our recent addition - 1971 VW Bay Window Tin-top, just starting full restoration. Don't let the shiny paint fool you... all filler, rust and bodges underneath which is currently being stripped out and repaired properly. Oh, and the choice of stickers isn't ours - these were put on by the previous owner (probably to hold the 3 inch deep body filler on):

Mazda MX5 Mk1... My other half's summer car. I think this marque has earned classic status now:

Then there's my Alfa 156. Not a classic yet, but one that i think will have in the not too distant future (will be interesting to see how many of these survive another 10 years!).
