Re: What classic vehicles have you seen?
Very nice cars, top spot. I have seen in Battle a couple of Daimler Limosines being used for wedding(s). One was a '89 G-reg, which must have been one of the last Daimler ever bulit, am I right? The one other was K-Reg and have seen it before.

No, Daimler versions of the XJ40 were built into the mid-90s.loveoldclassics wrote:One was a '89 G-reg, which must have been one of the last Daimler ever bulit, am I right?
Some people are like Slinkies - they serve no useful purpose, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them downstairs.
Re: What classic vehicles have you seen?
The Daimler name is still very much in use, my daily modern motor - built just 1 year ago - carries it as seen in the following picture of its nearside door jamb:

....none of which I would have been bothering to post up, but I've just been to the AsDa and was followed for much of the 11 mile return trip by what appeared to be a MK2 Jaguar. I keeked in the mirror as it turned off behind me and yep, there it was, a totally rank Mitsuoka Viewt.
How unbelievably disappointing, and it didn't even have an interesting animal in the back seat.

A red 1275 Midget went by the shop this morning and a little later, a Porsche 911, on an E (Prefix plate), so that's there or thereabouts now and bar for Humbug Brown, would now be coming up for free tax.
In the local garage, I saw a Bentley Corniche (Fixed head model) and an Alfa Spider with no engine (That’s been there years; I don’t think the owner can afford the repairs).
