Oh go on then.......... a rather poor and kind of cryptic rhyme about wheels and me

I'm linked to a car with only one wheel,
That when two parts meet has three,
A partner did come, and product in hand,
I called it a bird company.

Then with wheels multiplied,
I finally got there with four.
A small Austin the base for my dreams,

Though I Started the firm,
It seems so unfair,
That it had an unfortunate name,
Not fit for the times,
The Cat came along,
My partner came Sir,
And I made a trailer or three.
