Methinks you have the right name in mind, but I was certain that I'd actually been killed in 1950. Must check my source of information.

Speaking of other people of the same name and their connection with F1, I had a chuckle at this earlier:

And of course you are right, a quick google shows the date as 29th June 1950 :oops: But close enough eh :D

I was going to go with Joe before Fairman but Fairman has a pub named after him........

admitidly you would have to add an anchor to the w for that to be accurate
Understeer: when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
Oversteer: when you hit the wall with the back of the car.
Horsepower: how fast you hit the wall.
Torque: how far you take the wall with you.
