It just dawned on me that Terry was thinking about the Rover K series V6, which is known for being a sweet wee thing but also a sod to work on in its native application, across the nose of one of these:

It's the Rover KV6 that lives in the pro rallying Dolomite I referred to and a very good job it does too, being mounted north-south so easy to work on when it goes into meltdown.

Good choice that Mazda motor though, I've never heard of a broken one of those and man, does it look good in there! 8-)

Practically everyone seems to claim that their engines were designed by Porsche, Lotus or Cosworth :)

Worst case scenario if you do make a mess you could always just cover it in black plastic like all the big manufacturers do ;)

Ahem, for a Viva, the truly authentic would use the same vinyl as is used on the roof!
