Ugh slow (1500HL) is quite a well-known car in the world of Dolomite-shaped vehicles, good to see it's still in use.

I just saw a white MGB GT on Michael Portillo's railway programme (He seems to come over better as a presenter than he ever did as an MP). I only started watching it because he went to the Dean Forest Railway (
http://www.deanforestrailway.co.uk/) during one episode.

I know what you mean - dead smarmy when he was in politics but I quite like him on the political show with Andrew Neill and Diane Abbott, and his railway programmes have shown his enthusiasm in a very positive way.
Not much to report sightings-wise, but a Volvo Amazon and a lime green MG Midget have come my way.

I had to go to our local health centre in town, situated in a one-way system of narrow streets and terraced houses. I was amazed to see a beautiful A40 Somerset, in gleaming black, parked in front of one of the houses. It certainly stood out from the glumly indistinguishable Euroblands all around, and it looked ready to pop down to Morrisons (Austinsons?

) or set off on a long trip. Made my day!!

@ the Admins; any chance of a "phrase of the day" award for posters who come up with such glorious combinations of words?
That's poetry right there!

Something old just went by but I only got a view of the back of it, as it went out of sight. I was alerted by the sound of an engine, with a ten foot stroke, but wasn't quite quick enough to get a good look. I would say it dated from the 1920s.....perhaps one of the big Austins.
Earlier on, a smallish BSA motorcycle went by. It was a four stroke single; i'd guess about 200cc.

On the way to work this morning:
- Triumph 2500 Mk II in red with a luggage rack on the boot.
- 1965 XP Ford Falcon with two tone paint job.
- Early 70's VW Type 3 notchback with Queensland numberplates.
- Fiat 124 CC Coupe on Historic rego (first old Fiat besides mine I have seen in ages!)
