Still too cold outside to do anything -2 degrees C.
So too much time on the internet and Ebay!!!!!!!!!

I'm planning ahead for me and dad for a change.
Both me an dad each have compressors and will
need to do some paint rust and rot removal.
For me Steel wheels and car parts, for dad the
boat trailer and other stuff.

For £11 plus £4.50 postage one Kestrel Sand Grit
Blasting air gun.

Also might try it sand blasting the drive where the
exxon valdez that is dad's discovery has coated
the drive.

Oh and for £29 in total coming from the EU

Lets hope they are what the seller has stated for
14" steel wheels!

This morning I have been down to collect the alloy radiator from
Hartlepool Radiator Company, the person giving the quote was
not there so they said they would email me the details.

To make sure I get a reasonable price and not get ripped off I am
shopping around. I Dropped the radiator off at
Motorcool Services Ltd.
Bonlea Trading , Thornaby, Stockton-On-Tees

When I got home and checked my emails I found the quote
Hartlepool Radiator Company wrote:Quote for the radiator is as follows:

Aluminium core using old tanks off old unit, with adjustment
that you need- £345

Copper core with new brass tanks, new fittings and adjustment
that you need- £425
As I left the radiator at Motorcool I asked roughly what to
expect on a price from them on the fully custom copper one.
The gentleman said about £250 to £330 tops but I need to do
some calculations taking into consideration what engine size
you are you using.

What he said was more precise and professional than that
from Hartlepool Radiator Co.

This morning the Chrome Trim Rings arrived from a nice gentleman in Romania.
The gentleman has been dealing with the Ice and Snow storms over eastern
europe. I hope that him and his family are okay.

And with the 1970's Austin Mini hub caps they look perfect.

So all I need to do for the wheels is to sand/grit/shot blast the steel rims, then give
them a good coat of paint. I'm thinking either the same green as the car or a cream.
What do you think for the wheel colour?

The sand/shot/grit blasting gun arrived in the post too, but as I have not got the
correct blasting compound, it will have to wait. Plus it is raining and the temperature
has dropped.

I should have said that yesterday, I jacked the car up and tried to finish installing the
accessory belt only to find it was 2 inches too short! I can't think why that is, as I
measured 2-3 times before ordering it. Oh well!!! I have ordered a slightly larger belt
and will pick it up on Friday.

The only thing I did manage to do was to take the 1998 rear exhaust manifold heat
shield, trim it and fit it before my back went.
And as the weather forecast for the next few days is not good as it has forecast to
change and the cold weather will be back.

Yep, that is a good look for the wheels, IMHO at least.

I think that although both are being done to death these days, either red or a fluorescent would be a winner.

A nice dark maroonish red perhaps, or a fluorescent white that looks white - or off white, mag perhaps? - in daylight but starts to glow as the sun goes down. :)

I had a bit of time on the car with the new accessory belt.

I had to use a bit to wood to bend one of the power steering pipes a
little so it wasn't rubbing upon the belt tensioner pulley.
Nothing more done as the temperature dropped and I couldn't get
warm.

I had to cut the last one up, as I got my hand trapped and cutting it
was the only way of getting free.

Well I wasn't going to post that yesterday I was hit on the head by the bonnet
and twisted my knee as I fell under the bonnet into the engine bay.

I have been more concerned of other things, my father stressing out about his job,
my youngest brother being used by his girlfriend and not having money for food as
his girlfriend spends it on her pets when she doesn't even work. And him living 300+
miles away.
So I'm trying to keep things smooth and comfortable and stress free for my parents
So the car can wait if needs be as it's not as important.

The guy from motorcool is back from his holidays net week, so I can get quotes for
the radiator then.

So mindless drivel I wasn't going to post.

Hospital appointment this morning for the feet, they are healing well.

I spent a little work on the car.

I cleaned the injector ports in the lowwer manifold before fitting the
fuel injector rail.

The the upper intake manifold was started.
The threads cleaned and the screw in pipe connectors for the LPG
injectors installed with a bit of gasket seal on the threads just to
make sure that there are no air/vacuum leaks.

The Vacuum pipe connectors were fitted also with a bit of gasket
seal to prevent any erroneous air or vacuum problems later on.
The MAP sensor got the gasket paste seal treatment too.

I stopped when doing things when I couldn't feel my feet and my
legs were like ice, even though it was about 14 degrees C.

I have yet to clean the base of the upper intake manifold, and the
throttle body bolt up plate. This I want to try and do over the
weekend if possible.
