Well it is the first part of your master plan. I suspect finding all that is more likely than the plastic mini. Unless you count helpful south American dictators who have 50 of them sent over by BL in the 70s that have been in storage since then due to a tax problem and they will gladly send one to you, all they need is your bank account details, birth date and inside leg measurement.

(I may be cruel but I bet you smile when reading it)

There must be a shortage of scrap yards in France for all those to have survived ;)

Beautiful things, especially that light blue MK1 break, which has me all a quiver.

The light green metallic TS is a super rare car as well, my own green one had that centre console and the TS wheel trims but sadly, the car I raided for those parts lacked the TS' Tombstone seats. It did have a hemi out of a 17 Gordini though and, as I was allowed to drive manuals at the time, a five speed Trafic van gearbox. It also had its front suspension converted to (ex-Fuégo) struts so I reckon I must have taken parts from at least three 12s as well as the Dacia Denem estate that donated the sump shield and the quad headlamps, not seen in this piccie as I hadn't got round to fitting those yet.

Did I tell you how I lived in VBW for a couple of weeks once? Blah, blah domestic disharmony, blah, stubborn, pigheaded blah blah.....

:ugeek:

Terry, it was horribly cruel but, being the masochist that I am, I rofl'd all over the place. I'm more likely to find a nice Cord tomorrow morning - parked on my drive with a big blue bow wrapped around it and a card under a wiper saying "Hey big boy, thanks for that rather fine week of constant rumpy pumpy, love from Anna Friel" - than I am to travel to France and grab a 12 break, no matter how well kept it appears. :|

I can't remember, Rich. The picture was taken in 1985 - when my 12 was only 6 years old  - so at the time the truck wouldn't have caught my eye. Perhaps someone who looks at this site on one of these huge monitors you see in Rumbelows nowadays could tell us what the mystery commercial actually is? :) I only have a 17" one in this building and even holding it right up to my face doesn't solve the mystery. :(

It might be a Thames 400E though. ;)

I've tried enlarging with photoshop, but it gets too pixelated before you can really tell, but I think it's a Transit tipper.

Lol! It's a looooong time since my CR48 was a Chromebook, about a fortnight after it arrived from Google in March 2011 to be more exact. It even has a Win7 partition these days since one of our referring bodies insisted (their stupid monitoring software doesn't run under chrUbuntu  ). Sadly, fitting a 128GiB SSD in place of Google's comedy 16GiB one didn't cause its screen to grow from 12.1" by a proportionate amount or I'd use nothing else at work, I love my rubbery wee devil. :D
This "work only" ( ) machine is my Dell laptop and although I have ctrl+'d its 17" display to its fullest extent, the identity of the truck remains uncertain. The words are nice and big this way though...

Did I mention that I think it may have been a 400E? No idea why, but something is saying 400E at me. Blast these voices!
