Originally (for the first five or so years since its inception) the monthly meet, in the car park by the Maccie D's/Toys (or maybe it's pets, same difference) 'R' us, Metro retail park, this meet was exclusively for members of the American car fraternity, the last few years have seen it become absolutely huge, with entries from all of the local clubs including the Nearly Everywhere Club for Pretty Well Anything, the Sunderland & District (né, Nissan Works Motor Club) Classic Vehicle Club and many more. The church commisioners, who own the land, did go through a phase of trying to shut it down, needless to say, the purveyors of burgers, pizzas and other immediate facilities to the ground weren't too happy and they reckon to make more on the one night each month than in the rest of the year.
People start to arrive around 6, louse any time up 'til about 10 depending on weather and whether the Barries in their modified modern tat decide to tip up and spoil things by behaving like a bunch of twunts. That doesn't happen very often though, and the event is generally good natured.
It's well documented with pictures at RR.
These from last June:
No need to be a member of RR or of any of the participating clubs, just arrive, park up and spend an enjoyable night talking cars with other like-minded folk.

Nothing done on the car, but to the car today.
The horse box was moved from right infront of the garage,
and put to one side of the drive. Christine was moved off
the pit and to where the horse box had been.
With the the car being infront of the garage, it is in a more
sheltered spot for me to work on it. Also makes it easier to
work on the top of the engine and fitting the manifold and
electrics.
Something tells me that there will be a dent in the back of
the boot lid off the parents pushing it into position!
This after I popped a dent out of it moving to get a rabbit
out of the pit on friday!
(The dogs had trapped a wild rabbit in the pit, after chasing
it all over the drive)
It has been so cold that Christine has had a coat of ice all
day, so I have stayed in with me feet up and a cuppa tea.

A wise move, though my student house seems colder inside than out most of the time! Oh and the Land Rover is *^&^%$£ freezing!

I was ebay recently while waiting for go weather to work on the car.
I came across an item listing for chrome trim rings for 14" fitting wheels
I negotiated the seller down to £15 for the trim rings and £10 for postage
etc, which is a good deal then waited.
They arrived yesterday, so I unpacked them and tried one on a steel
wheel which was sitting in the boot without a tyre.
I did try them on that 16" vw/audi/skoda wheel and it doesn't fit that
either, which means it must be for 15's which I don't have!!!
So thats more money wasted!!!!
Any body interested in buying them off me?

No, but I still have that set of rimbellishers that the lad with the Cortina didn't want & they're for eBay otherwise.
Seen in
this thread.
Could swap as that way you get some that fit and I get something to put back through the ring.

Yes, but you said that yours were 14s and they appear too large.

JCB they hadn't actually put them on a wheel by the look of it.
Yes they measure about 14" but they are for fitting past the outer rim and tight
against where the valve is so that the colour of the steel wheel is showing
between the chrome trim ring and the tyre, also the pictures shoe the valve
actually goes through the trim rings.
From what can be seen in your pictures, yours cover the outer rim and come upto
the valve of the steel wheels and are of a different type of trim rings and you know
that yours are for 13" wheels.
