Just an observation. Television companies hire their cars along with period props like telephone kiosks, letter boxes and other street furniture. Morse's Jaguar, Foyle's Wolseleys and other period dramas are all hired. Most owners are happy for just a small fee if the resulting publicity gets them solid wedding bookings.

They do indeed. Which unfortunately means that if the TV company are buying it, they probably intend to smash it up or otherwise wreck it. Car fire in a period drama, or some Top Grear-like stunt perhaps? I do hope I'm wrong, but I fear for the car's future once they get their hands on it.......

From what I understand they were going to restore it, but they were outbid (and they upset the vendor) so someone else has got it .. for now

Unlikely to be CarSausage as they do up cars for deserving owners, but Salvage Hunters might have been interested. Unlikly to be Wheeler Dealers either as it would have cost Brewer too much ..

Did you say: "Shiny things?" You've been on the cheap plonk again, the last time that thing was shiny was when it came off the production line in 1978. I worry about, really, I do. Here's something for you to wet your pants over, especially as it's completely impractical, totally stupid and therefore, right up your street.

Think I might join you in fancying that bus. Does anyone get intrusive adverts, I mean the ones that fill your screen? Given the fact that I have never joined an MG Car Club, nor given my car's details to any organisation or publication, I keep getting pop ups for a car called MG Cyberster. Can someone let these advertisers know that I'm an old fart. Even if I could lower myself into the driver's seat, chances are I would need an engine hoist to get me out again.
