Errr...bit tricky to weld near airbags innit? Mind you, it'd be equally tricky to weld near Sharon Corr.

Good point, but for general servicing and routine maintenance it works. Welding happens when the target vehicle has been laid on its side, in best hillbilly fashion, for access to the offending sections, no airbags involved. Sadly, no Sharon
Cooorrrrrr either.

I have heard that the best material to support a car is high density foam blocks. These are apparently used by HGV mechanics, and it is impossible for them to suddenly "fail". They also don;t damage the underside of your car.
