Ooh! I do love it when someone else's engine bursts into flames, especially in the case of the blue Mustang, which looked split new.
The tyre jumping thing reminded me of that game that we used to play at school when we were all hiding in the sixth form kitchen to avoid being roped in to marshal on the first years' cross country run.
The game involved drawing an F1 circuit on a sheet of A4 and pushing a ballpoint through it with one finger, the winner being the one who came closest to completing the course without understeering off at any of the corners. Paper Mates were best for this, Parkers far & away the worst as it was impossible to push hard enough on the Parker without pushing the button sufficiently to retract the point and cause the pen to stall.
Sadly, I've been unable to find a youtube (or similar) video demonstration of this traditional sporting activity, so instead here's a large-eared man who was born with a USB pendrive hidden in one of his fingers:

OK, maybe I got the "was born with" part a little wrong?

You'll have to excuse the announcer talking about cheese, wine and frogs legs (it may have been about the car but I'm not sure)

That was a great window into times gone by. H&S? Clearly not invented yet as the crane operator in the yard has a tab dangling from his mouth, now of course illegal in the workplace. The blokes using the gas axes have neither gloves nor eye protection and why on earth is there a Jowett Javelin in there?
The large, duck egg blue car (what was that?) that was fed into the mobile compactor looked decent enough though. What a sad waste of something that probably had more life left in it. I also liked the orange Ford, that would be saved these days.
