Neither of my classic Bedford vans would have been seen dead in pink.
Where the pink bits are on the CF in the vid, my CA was blue. Masculine, butch blue. In fact I seem to remember that the paint factors told me that the colour was called "Bleu de Testosterone", not that I'm protesting too much or anything, just saying..

Snaps of the plastic bodied "Mini" in Gaydons collection centre. Made in Venezuala by Cord. Just thought John might like that although I expect he knows all about it.
Nice detailing - lots of bits are recognisable as Mini bits, but the body misses seams and has rub strips along roof.

Somewhere, assuming that the government in Venezuela hasn't killed it yet, is a MiniCord that I owned but couldn't get out of the country, even after I put together a crafty exchange work placement with a college tutor from out there, more for the car than to further my career though, but not a success in either context and it took me the last couple of years to get back roughly half of the money I'd spent. Would I still want a Cord? Hell yeah, but Venezuela won't be seeing me again, though technically, I own a hut in the middle of a muddy field so may have somewhere to sleep if I were to shell out the money for that awful voyage.

That catalogue of frustration, governmental corruption and ultimately, disappointment is on the forum somewhere and was the reason that this thread was started by Zipgun, other helpful, sympathetic forum folk then started chipping in with their ideas (some brilliant, some extremely good, some irresistibly bonkers  ) about alternatives to the lost yellow plastic of the Aztecs, oh wait, no, that's Mexico. I'm not going there either, not to be shot at or to buy a used VW Jetta.

No good for John, He only trusts Nigerian generals who offer to send him a mini in exchange for him providing them with his bank account details to get their fortune out of the country ;)
