I like the concept! Best bit: If that mad conversion works in the K11, then it should be possible, if equally tortuous, to fit the Saab engine in the K10. Note that I say "should" and that it goes without saying that the thing is probably quite scary in the wet.. And the dry, and standing still, and upside down, in a field, trying to kick your way out of the crash through the inevitable K11 floor rust.
Duke Boys-style Reliants aren't a new phenomenon but that looks like a promising wee thing and no trailer is needed to drag it home, just rent a Sprinter, get three passing pedestrians to help you to lift the thing into the back [of the Sprinter] and then comes the fun part; getting it out at the home end! Yee-Hah.

An interesting selection there, but for slightly less cash than that - admittedly intriguing and very well presented - Honda/mini device, I'd have to throw this more original car into the mix:

Purest original Cooper I've seen on the 'bay for a while, and all of its modifications are of the period. I just love that.
Mind you, the old Yank is appealing too and could be parked anywhere (subject to large spaces being available) without worrying about some dunderheid scraping it with a shopping trolley. Better yet, as a '56 it's massively undervalued compared to the '55 and the '57, so is significantly cheaper than either of the other years' cars could cost in a similarly sorted condition.

the honda hybrid was interesting and as much as i love minis there is no way i would pay that much.. meanwhile the beige allegro is tempting..

Hmm, ordinarily yes, but replacing bottles ought to be done in pairs at the very least, it worries me that it has one new and three whose diaphragms may or may not last another week/month/day/etc. That said, it sits pretty level and that's a good sign but there was an absolute minter in Emberglow red on the 'bay earlier this year at around the same money and all of its displacers and their pipes had been not only replaced, but also drilled and fitted with valves so that their nitrogen pressure can be inflated in future, rather than simply over inflated on the fluid side of the system, carrying the risk of a board hard ride and sudden sinking.
I do like an Allegro estate though, and there's not exactly a million to choose from so maybe the condition of the beige one's shell is enough to justify the expense?
