By brightening the image, the clutch pedal becomes visible. Or I could simply have looked at the narrow brake pedal.. ;)

The car is a clean, low mileage example though  , but no, sorry Chris, medal not won yet. :|

 Er, no. Front wheel drive Selectas are a standard thing and exist in quantities that must be into the tens of thousands, most of which have a slipping clutch in at least one direction. That's an expensive fix and Ford, who used the same CVT in the MK2 Fiesta, are slightly cheaper for the parts but even they rub their corporate hands together with sheer glee if someone wanders into a Ford store counter and asks for the bits to make a poorly one well again.
But one of that batch of super rare 4x4 CVT models would be worth sorting properly, even if that means spending cash. Sadly, I just sold the Corolla - about time too - and have to buy another motor vehicle to replace it otherwise the bB will be my only fully functional means of getting around, more of this in another of these "what car should I buy?" threads, not that I've ever paid attention to recommendations; if I had, then I'd have a building full with Renault 12s, Maxis and a Fiat 500 that's broken. Again.

While it's nice to see MG focus on something important like engine performance, that doesn’t mean that they can go and forget everything else that makes a car enjoyable. Like the transmission, interior ergonomics, dimensions, compliant suspension, appearance and modernish tech that MG seems to have forgotten with the RV8 Roadster. I can't believe that such bland looking car changes hands at silly money, but there you go, each to their own.
Whose Ms Friel?

I sense a wind up, but you speak gobble-de-gook.
However, as today is a special birthday, one hundred to be exact, here's someone I do know, and have met.
