breakdown truck

Got something to say, but it's not classic related? Here's the place to discuss. Also includes the once ever-so-popular word association thread... (although we've had to start from scratch with it - sorry!)

Wow! It has a bog roll in a special holder. How excellent is that..
I found this line from the description:
Please Phone and ask Hugh history
quite amusing. But then I always did laugh like a drain when Bart Simpson phoned Mo and asked if there was a "Hugh Janus" in the bar. Maybe the sales guy's name is Mr H. HIstory, maybe it isn't.. :-/

So I think to myself, well there has to be a website for that sort of thing, and [clarksonspeak]there is[/clarksonspeak] And it's right here:

Click Here, apart from Rich because elegant links don't work in French France, but they haven't invented shoes over there either..

so I suppose we still need the whole URL too, for foreignists:
https://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/List_of_T ... rank_calls

Love that stuff, me! Sorry, should that be 'love that, stuff me?

Whereas I'm just a bit tight!

It may look OK, but is an example of why MOT exemption is bad. Some time ago, that car failed its last ever compulsory test on, and I quote from its test certificate here:
Nearside Inner Rear Suspension spring mounting prescribed area is excessively corroded
So now it's for sale and the listing reads simply that it is MOT exempt, no mention of what may be the thing that put it off the road in the first place! Chase it by all means but check the quality of the welded repairs.

I do love a van, but that one would probably cost most of my spare dough. :scared:
