I suspect the paint quality is a damn sight better than FoMoCo were slinging on in '65, even on the fancy specials like this.
I don't think for instance they'd have put a skim of filler on the drivetrain to get it mirror perfect.

The panel fit would have been crap,the paint would have been crap ect ect.
Ive seen a couple of unrestored cars including this car before i restored it and when the green stripe was painted on they never masked up in the door shuts,
so plenty of overspray

Im happy with my work on the car

Had a few teething problems with the car which is expected.The gearbox I had rebuilt jumped out of 4th gear which is common with these.
One of the front legs I had refurbed leaked.The diff was a bit noisey.
Out came the diff/gearbox and o/s front leg and have all been rebuilt again.
The car was unveiled at Santa Pod for Classic Ford Show.Then back to Santa Pod for Ford Fest then on the Classic Ford Stand at Silverstone.
Ive just got the diff/gearbox and diff back in it.The car will be going to The Nec Classic car show as I was invited to take the car on to
the Lotus Cortina Registers stand.Should be a laugh as theres a few of us staying up there for 4 days.

Had the car on a rolling road.
Standard these cars are 105bhp.
This engine has a big valve head Ian Walker race cams Tony Law manifold and 2 1/4inch exhaust ect ect.






131.6bhp I was happy with that.
