I suspect the paint quality is a damn sight better than FoMoCo were slinging on in '65, even on the fancy specials like this.
I don't think for instance they'd have put a skim of filler on the drivetrain to get it mirror perfect.
Fair play it does look pretty special

It looks superb I would be scarred to drive it, when you do it will prbably get the authentic engine oil leaks as well! , they did used to prepare the show cars to this sort of standard, so it has a level of period autheticity as well.

One of the lecturers at college had a '66 one (in 1971/2) and it certainly didn't look as good as this one! There again, it was an agricultural college: plenty of brown smelly stuff about!
