Blimey! That Victor's a bit of a curate's egg isn't it. Looks mainly very solid, but the interior's a toilet and it would appear to have a mix of metric and imperial hubs, or maybe someone just forced the 100mm wheels onto original hubs? After all, a big hammer makes all things possible! Nice old things they were, I'm certain I posted a photo of mine earlier in this very thread.
I spotted a CX break on my travels today funnily enough, it was a red one with
many battle scars but the suspension appeared to be functioning perfectly as every other car on the A1068 at the time (around 10am) was bouncing around, in and out of the undulations left by decades of pit shafts and a tightwad council. It sounded sweet too and the driver had a massive grin on his face as I extended a thumb in appreciation of his "playworn" but clearly still very usable 1985/'86 big Citroen.
I didn't want a new Xantia when they were actually new, time hasn't changed this situation.

However, that utterly delightful, very much more interesting and older Citroen is a thing of great beauty and should be given a wipe with an oily rag every week to preserve it exactly as it is.

OK, who's been talking? Please ignore them, the rumour was never confirmed and besides, I was only there to give my dogg a quick spot of late night exercise.
I like the bus, but it's a shame that its Gardner engine has overheated, maybe this happened when it was being driven toward the summit of a gradient of some sort? At least I think that's what the comment about "uphill Gardners" may have meant?

Either way, I rather like that, it must have cost a massive amount of money to liberate it from its island home and, as a project, it deserves some (free) love and some nice cushions & curtains to finish it off in style.
The Pontiac is awfully American, isn't it. Nice though, but not quite as nice as that bus..

Meh, only a poxy old Yank V8 though! My usual bar stool at The Calf's Nostril, our village hostelry, has a two stroke engine from an old Wartburg and that's so much better suited to a typical piece of catering furniture than the massive cast iron object in that listing.

Not really, for a whole load of ultimately pretty dull reasons that would a) wreck a VW semi auto transmission with Subaru torque figures or, if fitted with a Subaru auto, b) result in a car with four reverse gears and one that makes it go forwards. Is that too picky?
