I have an early mk1 eunos, very original and rust free.
I treated the cavities and underside to dinitrol last year, I used dinitrol 1000 for the cavities and a liberal coat underside followed by some standard dinitrol as a final coat.
The 1000 creeps really well but I did help matters by warming it and using a decent airline powered gun with a thin probe and 90 degree nozzle for the sills etc
Im sure other products are available but dinitrol is readily available and relatively cheap

I'm with Kev & Luxo on the rust proofing front - Dinitrol is a far better product (I have been using it for 30 odd years and never had any issues or comeback with it)

PS - Kev the car is looking just fab in the daylight

I'm a Dinitrol fan, though I have little need for it at the moment (the Landy is clagged with similar stuff and I shouldn't need to do the Golf!)

I bought an aerosol can of Waxoyl in October so I could spray the rams on my digger (it sits outside and the rams aren't exactly perfect to start with) and the rain is washing it off nicely! I don't know how long it would stay under a car, where puddles become pressure washers for cars' undersides!

Got in at 3pm today after taking my son to his usual kick boxing classes and went straight into the garage.
Took the windscreen out with the help of my wife, cleaned it up and fitted the new seal (after leaving it to soak for an hour in some hot water), fitted the paracord to the body side of the seal and placed it in a safe place ready for tomorrow.
Went on to remove the old seal from the car, was worried about that part as i feared finding rot around the frame. I swear the old seal had been put in using metal window frame putty?
So all cleaned up and I needn't have worried, all sound and rust free :D

Got henry the hoover out and had a good clean up around the dash and scuttle area then placed a tube of the sealant i am going to use on the radiator ready for tomorrow.

I need to order a tool for fitting the chrome insert, then get on with the fitting tomorrow morning.

Hopefully that will all go well and the car can come out of the garage for a while so I can have a clean up. The car can then go up on the ramps and I can change the auto box oil etc

Well, up early today as the sun was shining and the GP was on too :D

After a morning coffee, got wifey and son to give me a hand in the garage, 10 mins later we had the wind screen in and fitted, just need the tool ive ordered to fit the chrome insert and its job done. Must admit that after fretting about fitting the screen, it turned out to be the simplest of tasks.
Pulled the car out of the garage and gave her a good wash, cleaned the blue protection off the tyres and they look the part if I say so myself.

Decided to finish the day off by getting the car on my ramps and check out the auto box sump.
Contrary to what I had read, the gearbox sump has a drain plug, decided that I would drain the oil for a look..just as I thought, it was dark and past its best, I drained 1.5 litres until it stopped flowing. Filled it back up with fresh ATF and run the car through the gear selections, had a spin down the drive and drained it again. still dark in color (no way of draining the torque converter other that flushing a few times), did this 3 times and the last time, the fluid was nice and red. Took some pics of the sump so I can order the correct sump gasket and gearbox filter. After a few weeks of use I will drop the sump for cleaning and to fit the new filter..should be good for a few more miles.
I did notice that after the last oil change, the autobox wasnt grabbing at all when drive was selected and gear selection was really smooth, hopefully this will prove to be the same on the open road.
Just need to do the diff seal and dinitrol and shes ready for MOT.

I will do some interior pictures after ive given it a thourough clean, the inside is in even more stunning condition that the external!
