That would be lovely, but having a web cam and having a store of on-line videos available on demand are two very different things, the storage for one isn't cheap. If they're struggling to afford a new broom, then I suspect that on-line videos are an ask too far.
Call me cynical, but I don't think Bauer will invest in anything that doesn't bring in more revenue for them.

Howabout a pay-webcam live chat with Sam Glover ?
Similar to those offers from the young ladies that keep popping up on my screen ?

....anyway if it is indeed how one contributor would have us believe the only thing to see on a web cam would be half a dozen guys in spotless overalls sat around drinking tea waiting fro the next transporter to whisk the latest project away for new wiper blades

the heat must of got to me sorry if i wasn't paying attention sir

I would think my idea would be a first for any car magazine to have a web camera. It would get more readers involved as well I would think.
We will all have to wait and see ?. I am sure Danny is on the ball with this one now and will make it happen.

This was suggested about two years ago too, bad idea i think - it would let any unsavoury types know when people were there and when they are not. If we were to get a web cam we may as well just leave a note pinned to the door also that reads 'We're not in at the moment, please break in and steal all of our tools...'
Don't think the insurance company would like the idea for this very reason either...
Sorry to be so pragmatic but it's the times we live in etc,
Cheers, Neil

For PC videos for new projects / complicated jobs would be more apropriate than a webcam. There were some for the jag project if memory serves and Matt did some for his Merc.
The advantage of project videos vs a webcam is someone is holding the camera so you get a good view of work in progress and they will be avaliable as an archive.
Just my 2p

Another idea bites the dust

I would think people know you guys are not there 24/7 by now.
It could have been worked around somehow?.

That would be workable, but it would be difficult to let everyone know when it was live - unless it was recorded and available to play back later like the BBC iPlayer...
