Especially with the joke performance Teresa May the home Secretary,
did on itv news tonight.
And the good sense Boris Johnson did by admitting there was a problem!
WTF did I just type Boris Johnson showed good sense!!!
I think I need a brandy/whiskey to was my brain out

At the risk of dragging this in to a political debate it is labours fault the economy is stuffed and miliband seems to be almost as utterly useless as brown was so i would rather have the tories in charge with the bottle to sort things out rather than labour's bury their head in the sand approach.
Still, at least things seem to have quietned down today. i have been home for an hour and no sirens have driven past yet.....

It's interesting that the first bloke out of court today on BBC London news is working. He is, or no doubt now was, a teaching assistant, so hardly deprived untermenschen. Quite a lot of them were people with jobs and hence something to lose, same with the chap whose army career is now over before he even started, so one can only assume it's nothing to do with government and cuts and everything to do with greedy chancers thinking they won't get caught.

i think the police are at fault, concentrating on nicking people for minor offences such as speeding parking etc. its too complicated for them to convict proper crims. i have been stopped etc more times than i wish to remember for a minor non offence & threatened with jail etc.

I think it's just an excuse for yobbery and thieving. None of the people I saw on TV looked emaciated or malnourished.
Terry G has a point that the present government are not to blame for the state of the economy BUT I believe the problems go back further than Tony B Lair and his iron (I thinks that’s now rusty) chancellor; they go back at least thirty years if not more. The alleged prosperity of the early 2000s was a myth, based on borrowing and the yarn spun by the spivs in the “City”. All the emerging and stronger economies are based on manufacturing and when we were a world leader, so was ours.

ive been pulled in for slowing down for speed traps & respecting speed limits driving a vehicle with trade plates accelerating up hill to the limit 30 etc etc been done once for speeding! & nicked once for parking without light whilst parked under a streetlamp..
one house we lived in had a long track up to it & we were always finding police cars parked in the entrance, this would result in a breath test & vehicle check, i was going home!
