Most impressive so far, I've rarely seen one with so much good metal to weld to.
I wonder what became of the amazingly unrusted example that Peter Simpson found and recommissioned as a Practical Classics feature car a few years ago?

Looking good. Our family had a 1725 Hunter this colour back in 1969.

Thanks for the kind comment, I actually quite fancy a hunter; a while ago there was one in Anglia Auctions with Leopard seat covers.

So you should be, I could set up in a purpose-built painting facility with millions of pounds worth of the latest equipment and still balls it up totally.
What you have there is a mixture of talent and more talent. Of that, I'm actually envious.

It was quite a special colour in its day, and probably the first metallic that my father had owned.
