Re: New Top Gear Tonight (now)
I caught about the last 5 mins of TG on Sunday evening and it reminded me of a modern car advert, with regards to its relevance to the supposed subject at hand. They were writing scores up on a board; I'd have given them all nil
Each to their own but it's not for me.

Re: New Top Gear Tonight (now)
I've watched Top Gear for many years, long before it's present format was devised, even back "in the day" the show drove and reported on current models available to buy, the car manufacturers placed their cars on the program in the hope that it would be favourably reviewed and people would buy it - no change there. If there were not a bit of product placement there would be no Top Gear. I for one love their schoolboy antics and non PC comments.

For the win indeed! What would life be without a bit of puerile humour once in a while?tornewtsam wrote:.....schoolboy antics and non PC comments.
Here's a picture of a lovely clean Growler:

That Growler does look impressive, from both angles.JPB wrote: Here's a picture of a lovely clean Growler:
I wonder if it would be frowned upon to have more than one Growler?

Well, if you wanted one that you could drive when the other one was "in the library during PE"pryantcc wrote:.....I wonder if it would be frowned upon to have more than one Growler?![]()

Or if one had bought it in the better half''s name for tax purposes:JPB wrote:Hmm,I want that Growler and preferably with Wilton carpets, burr elm fittings and Connolly hide seats, mainly because - if it were to be stolen - I could call the police and say "Hi, I'd like to report that someone had it away with my beautifully trimmed Growler."

Sorry, I'll stop now, it's terribly immature....
Growler......
...Snigger......

Stupid wheels. IMHO.
Re: New Top Gear Tonight (now)
So your £400,000 will be stopping in the bank for the moment then?
For that sort of money you could have something so much more accommodating than that cramped little growler anyway.
