Daimler Ferrets always appeal to me, apparently their bodywork is mostly very, very thick and it should be the ideal "car" for that day when only rampaging through a supermarket car park, destroying row upon row of yummy mummy 4x4s, will make one feel better.
That Buick is simply beautiful, should be given a quick oily rag polish then enjoyed exactly as it is IMHO. As for the Chairman, erm, ok, maybe useful to convert into some form of mobile changing room that could be sited by the sea and rented out to tourists?
Speaking as one whose daily ride is an eccentric, tall skinny van-like device I can see the appeal of repurposing the Metro but would you not sooner have one of the below, a Daihatsu Mira van:
Now that's more like it! Come to think of it, my bB isn't nearly eccentric enough, maybe time to upgrade to a Mira?
(I hope the driver's ok, he doesn't seem very happy in the photo..)

American motorhome for me please. Maybe the Matford too, as something that French has to be worth saving.

Rich, buy the Jaguar!
Hmm, there's much to like about the mobile home, not least that 1970s interior decor. However, if one of these were available in a 1/2 scale version that can do lots of mpg and still provide accommodation, I'd go for that option instead.
Wait a minute! There is such a thing and eBay has several listings for them. Purists please leave the room now:
No, I wouldn't really, that ruins a perfectly pleasant Samba(r), much like the judges on Come Dancing then.
Sorry for the moment of madness, I meant to post a picture of an even more desirable Airstream with built-in engine:
That's eggsactly what I'm on about. No yoke, honestly. Oh, and notice its resemblance to an everyday household food thing? Me neither, I'm far too chicken to abuse the Airstream owners' club.

Rich - The Jag's are fantastic value for money and great cars - however I would only ever consider owning one with full service history and I think that the early ones are best avoided as they had major engine problems - if you are serious I would get in touch with 'Luxo' on this forum who I believe runs one and has several years experience of them.

I do indeed - still got it, 16 years old now and still drives like a new car. There are indeed a number of "known" problems especially with the early ones but they're all reasonably easy to identify and deal with, my car has never suffered from any of them and I can talk you through them if you wish. The flip side of these so-called problems is that it seems to be making the cars cheap, the amount of car you get for the money now is stupendous. They're not a practical car though - boot is small-ish and you won't get anybody in the back seats - not anybody with legs, anyway.....
Cheers!

The driver is probably worried that his mates might see him, I mean, driving a van that looks like the American purpose built UPS delivery van, that's shrunk in the wash is not exactly cool.
