So much temptation and so many deactivated accounts!
Do vans with dodgy brakes really go that fast? Other than downhill obviously...

Mon Dieu! C'est une voiturette Ligier tres belle. Et ma grand-mère est faite de fromage!
And a
"203 Peugeot?" Didn't know Jasper Carrott was working in France too!
Pick of that bunch has to be the Mehari though. A decent DIYer could have that fitted up with one of those Italian GRP replica 2CV bodies in under a day. Only trouble there being that, like Citroen's own Bijou, the GRP ones weight rather more than the turkey foil originals.

The Pug 203 is a lovely shape. Did they do a GTI version?

Nope - its from the golden days of the late 70's / early 80's - not many of these around now - pity its not a GTE - then again it would four times that price if it was

I
was about to argue that only the Vauxhall-badged version of the Kadett D was badged GTE as I was sure in my head that Opel had always used the GSI badge instead, so I went a Googlin' and found that I would have been wrong, there were indeed Kadett Ds in GTE spec and I've just looked at some very lovely ones on German tuning sites.
Those were so light that even the 1300s were very lively, well I remember a trip to Blackpool and back to Pudsey in the mid '80s at the wheel of a friend's immaculate, low mileage 1300 (with Vauxhall Astra badging). The speedo was showing an indicated 130mph along the M55 and while we were certainly passing absolutely everything, I couldn't quite believe that I'd have been that naughty..... Until the ticket came in the post.

122mph was what they did me for. Don't try that at home, it wasn't big and it wasn't clever. That car is still around and still on its original engine at a mere 108,000 miles. I don't suppose it gets abused to the same extent these days.
