Don't forget to roll the hedgehogs on clay-mud before cooking - the spines come off easily if you do!

I had a short walk today - the tide was almost over the road again and the dog was not pleased. Had a chat with next-door but one, who is in the trade, who said he had a V or S 40 (D2 engine) and it was a great car. He is sympathetic about my Golf - his Mk5 has a cracked head and the turbo has just gone kaput. However, it is a Mk5 with a 2.0 engine; he says the head problem is quite common (as are various other problems).

I suspect the Sharan/Galaxy might have the earlier PD engines (like the Mk4 Golfs); these don't seem to have the same problem as the BLS/BXE - they just seem to wear out like any other engine! There again, we all know that the Sharan has an enviable reliability record

I don't think you need to be too concerned about the fuel used in your JCB - someone on this forum can borrow his father's digger and use the farm's red diesel ...

If leaving the mud alone means that the damage can't be seen, then leave the mud alone. Just saying, like. ;)

They probably read the bit about baking them and decided not to take the risk. :| Maybe you'll get a postcard some day, or a letter from an adoption agency asking whether it's OK for them to look you up.

I have never tried customising the airbag system in a galaxy, however I built up a little timer circuit for my previous focus that left the air bags connected for the first 5 seconds after the ignition was powered on then disconnected them so it passed the self test then was safe to drive without the risk of an explosion in your face.

The other option is to disconnect the connector from the back of the airbag itself. The problem is that if you do this some SRS systems "notice" and turn on the warning light which required a dealer reset, others don't as they only check for a short in the system.
