In the workshop at present

Post pictures and stories about your cars both present and past. Also post up "blogs" on your restoration projects - the more pictures the better! Note: blog-type threads often get few replies, but are often read by many members, and provide interest and motivation to other enthusiasts so don't be disappointed if you don't get many replies.

Refitted the bootlid (only just manageable on my own) flatted & polished to stage 3 - Tyres refitted to the rims and the rear wheels fitted - still loads to do and I had had better head back into the workshop :scared:

Apologies all - things got somewhat a little hectic in the run up to the restoration show but now back and only just collecting my breath - so here comes the updates - I got the interior metalwork trims painted up

Fitted the interior metalwork trims to the bodyshell has this was the best way to transport them without them being damaged, started to collect all the kit together for show, final wax of the shell before loading

Jerry rigged winch in the rear of a Transit Luton - gave me the capability to load the shell by myself, then to pack the rest of my gear carefully around it

So one Luton box van, 4 x largeish estate cars full of parts, tools, equipment & an industrial sewing machine plus a standard size Transit with our display / media boards arrive at the show and we can get the stand built (which takes all day) - The Javelin gets placed on axle stands, 52 Jupiter in race trim (actively campaigned in classic racing and finished 9th at the classic LeMans last year - not at all bad for a little 1500cc boxer engined car that is competing with powerful cars of several litres) SWMBO reupholstered a Javelin bench seat throughout the show

Stunning 1913 Jowett Tiller steered - The Worlds Oldest Surviving Jowett - Found on a rubbish tip - continually restored over a 30 year period - twin cylinder horizontally opposed, water cooled engine of 6.5 HP (and it flies)
