Assuming it's insured ASKMID.co.uk works on scottish registered vehicles and will tell you the make and model. I suppose it may be because the 2 cars i have checked it on are insured with english companies but as i only know 2 scottish registered and owned cars i can't test any more.

Askmid's dire warnings about using their service for purposes other than checking your own insurance were ignored and I entered the mystery car's plate.. It must be insured with the same company that does my policy - or one that does similar key policies - as 1) it's insured for a period of three years and 2) it's listed as a "modified" vehicle with no make or model specified, as are my modern daily and two from the other four vehicles on the policy. So no luck, I'm going to have to take a run back down that way and sit by the roadside after all. :|

 Of course there is.. Oh wait, there's a photo! There really is. Wow!
I almost had a fire appliance parked outside mine last week as a fellow old tat enthusiast - who's a serving fire bobby locally - was out testing one of their vehicles and sensibly used it to drop by mine to deliver something that he's having repaired. Sadly, the appliance in question was too large to get past the corner at the end of the street, which is a dead end in the other direction, so his colleague parked the leviathan down by the village school and the guy with the broken old gadget walked the rest of the way. This does beg a rather worrying question, the answer to which is no, there hasn't, not since I've had this house but I've just had my extinguishers refilled and certified just in case!
I was disappointed though, because the woman on the opposite side is regularly treated to rides in ambulances on account of her excessive fondness for the sauce, so a mahoosive fire appliance would have trumped her, no question!

Ooh yes, please do that! Tell us more if you can. Does he use it as daily transport to drive to his work? Has he ever crushed a modern car that got in his way? Does it have its original engine, etc?

"Home is where you park it", so the saying goes. That may yet come true..

No you're not - you are just keeping out of trouble (much like myself that has to relocate my Jowett stationary engine before Wednesday - it's currently in the barn at work but it has be moved home)
