There's a remake of Vanishing Point?
Cool, is Petrocelli in it?

Coleford? Yes! Easter Monday and a great day out with reasonable weather too. We took the F350 truck. I will 'attempt' to post a pic or two by the weekend!
Re: What classic vehicles have you seen?
Hi JPB. Yup there is a remake of 'Vanishing Point' sponsored by Chrysler. Kowalski survives the crash. (It's not Barry Newman.. I can't think who played the part.) It's slightly PC. The Challenger at the end, if you look carefully, looks remarkably like a 'massaged. Camaro! The music sound track isn't quite as good as the original but the 426 Hemi gives the speakers a bloody good workout!!
During the chase a deputy turns up at the Police Chiefs house in a 'Cruiser'. The Chief is polishing his Charger R/T in his garage. The deputy suggest they go after Kowalski when he passes through their state. The Chief looks at the 'cruiser' and says in a Southern drawl. "'You'll catch nuthin with a dog pie Chevy....ya' need a Mopar to catch a Mopar!" So they join the chase in the Charger.
Did I say the remake was sponsored by Chrysler.

Yes, click the link below the youtube screen to get the download.

Just whatever you do, DO NOT click the link below the download where it says "Click here to speed up this download", it will make a Windows PC rather ill.

Charger you say? Challenger too?

Good chase, but the film is typical Tarantino, so view discretion advised should you go further looking rather than the final scene

Re: What classic vehicles have you seen?
Hmm, nice movie, maybe not ideal for watching at work though. And so to a spot:
Today I have seen not one, not two, not even three lovely looking Cortinas out and about. Four of the things I've spied! All separated by quite some distances and travelling in different directions so not some sort of convoy, two MK4 Facelifts; light green metallic and shiny solid red, a MK3 GLX in red with black roof and another MK4, pre-facelift, in that sort of blue that would have matched the owner's bathroom equipment back in its time.
Then, much closer to home, an equally clean and shiny Triumph Acclaim in gold metallic and rolling on period alloys. I was on the main A1 just south of here and travelling at the permitted 60mph - honest officer, I was - when the Triumph appeared in my mirrors and before I had taken in its loveliness was in front of me and vanishing extremely rapidly so no way was I going after it for a better look, nine points are plenty just now thanks!
I did think that the Acclaim may have been an Avon Turbo as the exhaust note was very subtle and it was whistling like several Roger Whittakers.
