The Renault 12, unlike French wines, it doesn't improve with age. (Nor do I)

The Lambo-a-like reminds me of the "replica" built by a Chinese fella and posted recently in the youtube thread. I'm also certain that I've seen another similar project, as built by Barry Scroggins from Englandshire by the Sea. The name may not be quite as I remembered it..
Of the 12s in that post, the low mileage one appeals the most, followed by everything else.

Hmm..
It
can (the car, not that godawful pish that passes for wine), assuming that you have a R17 Gordini (or Lotus Europa) for the engine, a Fuégo for the struts to convert from the 12's original suspension, a Trafic for the gearbox and a Dacia Denem for the sump shield, the alloys, the tombstone seats, the centre stack for the dashboard which would render the glove hole redundant (just as well, 12s always leak down there for some reason), the instrument panel and the bumpers and finally; a Dacia pickup if you want to go the whole 4wd conversion route.
Think on it, modifying just 1 R12 could take as many as 5 lesser cars off the road and free up more space for proper jalopies with Japanese or 1970s BL badges.

Agh! My eyes! The Fuégo is to classic cars, what Gary Glitter is to pop music!
Steady there, Rich, you almost stepped on GHT's guide dog..

Erm.. No thanks, you're alright mate, call me cowardly but I like unburstableness with my jalopies these days so I'm still looking at having some other Japanese stuff of the same (mid eighties to early nineties) era as the grey one, some day, I will have a K10 with the CVT and Anna Friel's DNA all over the upholstery.
In my dreams it is..
Don't get me wrong; great cars these Fuégos, but far too easy to break and parts aren't all available from the maker these days, whereas with an old Toyota, blah, blah, over the counter, blah, never malfunctions anyway, etc..
