I think you should restore the singer next. I have a soft spot for them as my dad had one until I was 5/6.

Haha, no we are scaling down now (!).
The Singer is sadly beyond saving, the floor and chassis is rotted out, along with the fact the roof has been bent when it;s been lifted with chains. My brother has talked about reshelling it, but realistically he has more projects than he has time and money for so he's talking about breaking it.

I do, but in my defence it is approaching 26 years of age and doesn't have any of these newfangled toys such as fuel injection, engine management or brakes that apply themselves, so it's as easy to live with as a classic car, but with the performance of a newer one of equivalent size. It also has the comfiest seats I've found in anything since I ran the Farina-styled Morris Oxford and Austin A60 as daily cars.Pictures are here and it looks the same now as it did then, in spite of having served me through the winter and covering more than 10,000 miles since June, without the slightest hint of misbehaviour.

That, or a slightly more daring version of Hyacinth Bucket's other half, who probably would have bought an openly Japanese car, but may have been nobbled with chloroform by his scary wife and bundled to the Rover dealership in the boot of Onslow's Cortina, before being forced to sign the cheque and buy something "British".
