OK, the earlier car (a ZA Magnette) has a smaller window, the ZB has the larger one. Now I feel like a proper anorak. Sweet spotting there, Kevin.

Some ZBs had smaller windows; the larger window here denotes it as the ZB Varitone (And some Varitones were one colour

). The sure way, to tell a ZA, is the hockey stick style trims, on the front wings (Though in this case one of the cars is clearly a Varitone, to which ZA front wings and trims have been fitted

). Inside the ZA had a different dashboard, with a fake wood finish (It was actually a painted finish). Lovely cars and a pity to see them looking a little tired.
They went quite well too. When my grandfather (Who later had a Varitone) had his RME Riley, my father was out in it one day. He was climbing the infamous Caerphilly Mountain road and the RME was a tad under engined (55 bhp in 26 cwt; the 100hp 2 1/2 was a different kettle of fish). As a result, he had his foot to the floor, when seemingly from nowhere, a ZA appeared in the mirror, pulled out, overtook and disappeared into the distance. The ZB had a bit more urge again.

I saw 3 on my way to work today. A red Mk3 Cortina (seen it before), A Triumph TR7 DHC (the soft top) and a Mk1 Vauxhall Cavalier.

I do love a Stalwart, that one looks even more like a tortoise than they usually do, on account of the peaky cover.
Loveliest thing ever to bear the Alvis name, IMHO.

Tanks for posting those (I'll get my coat)
It may have been on the old forum but I do vaguely remember a member being involved in the restoration of one of those.

I thought that putting piccies of Vectras up to this forum was a quicker way to get yourself barred than appearing naked in the sales & wants section. Seems I was wrong.
Speaking of he Opel; why does it have a codpiece on the roof?
Is the van a Renault Estafette? A good scrub would see that back on the road.

That is only because none of us noticed it until now.
Rich, this isn't barryboys! If you have any more pics of it and you post on there I suspect you will get a pat on the back. On here however you will just be told to delete the image before the server melts down from shock!
