I'd suggest most of the value in the pick-up is the VIN plate!

Surely you aren't suggesting that some less than scrupulous person could buy every part new then stamp the old vin number in to it. tut tut

It's old enough not to need a VIN plate, so that can't be worth anything either..
The current book of MOT test rules wrote:A Vehicle Identification Number (VIN or chassis number) is required on all vehicles first used on or after 1 August 1980. except those which are
. kit cars
. amateur built vehicles
And yet some shevver clytes still moan when they realise that the chassis number on a Rebel was only ever written somewhere - in the engine bay if the owner had one that wasn't built on a Friday afternoon - on the car with a felt tip pen. Even though they were both built in 1972. Bah humbug!

Ooh! Purple Renault 6, that'll go down well with Vulgalour. And that Fiat hearse, what an amazing thing, It would make the basis of a wonderful camper van. Assuming it isn't haunted.

Thanks, Rich. That Simca is almost as horny as the idea of Anna Friel and Martina Laird sharing my shower. Almost.

She played Comfort in the casualty show on BBC1 back in the last century. Sadly, I couldn't find a picture showing her with her clothes on.
