It was. There were massive covered areas, 4/5 in total? All full of goodies. As i suspected, the autojumble held nothing for me, but picked up some useful kit from the vendors. Cutting discs, continuity tester, etc.

So did I - thanks for all the photos - as far as I can tell I managed to avoid the camera, but then I did spend a lot more time looking at tools and jumble rather than the cars.

I see you took a shot of the VW Camper from Graham Dean - discovered that he's only about 10 miles away and runs upholstery and trimming courses - need to wait five years until retirement so I can afford to go - and I'll need to find a welding class, and mechanical, and painting - you get the picture - I'm a total novice but I enjoyed the show and added a few things to the collection - which upset the wife

Yes but it does include lunch . . . . . . . maximum 3 people so that's a daily 'income' of £450 - and a rate of around £60 hour - of course I have no idea how that compares to the normal labour charge for the type of work he does.

Told the wife and she almost agreed to help with any sewing I might need - problem is that before I can put the seats in, I need a floor - and that's why welding has to be the first priority

That's cheap for a whole day of tuition leave alone two! College tutors earn up to around £130 per hour for a similarly specialised area and that's charged out to the LAs at well over £180 with the rest subbing running costs.

Rob, as we both know; anything looks good in orange (which is why I wrote it that way).
However, the very idea of a bright orange 1930s classic with the art deco masterpiece on its shapely snout is possibly enough to cause heart failure in the owners of less imaginitively painted examples. I wouldn't want to upset anyone over something so trivial so how about we kidnap one, spray it orange and shoehorn in a nice V8 from a Stag? Might as well be hung for a sheep as another sheep.
