but you know how it is when they look at you with those big, sad sealed beams and you just know that you can give them a dry place to live.....
Oh yes (Though none still have their sealed beam.......candles)
I don't have any
real children but I reckon my cars come close to it, their welfare being a priority
Now if it's a case of talking automatics, how about a Jensen Interceptor SP. I remember my father took one for a test drive and kicked it down. I was sat in the back and as my behind dragged along the tarmac (Or seemed as though it would), all I remember, was seeing that big yellow bonnet meeting the sky
. That said, I was recently parked near to a Jensen area, at a local show and there was an SP in the enclosure. I
drooled into the enclosure and attached to the SP, was an info sheet, part of which said "Fuel consumption - don't ask
"

On the way back from Off-roading at Borden, spotted a VW transporter Syncro pickup going the the other on the M25.

This is the oldest car I have been able to snap a pic of today however I also spotted a Rover P5B and a mog traveller all in Derby

1985 Granada 2.8 ghia estate in Salisbury City centre today, it was driving by so no photos.

That would be a Mk2, as I don't think the new one, that came out about that time, was done as an estate straight away
I thought the Mk2 was a lot nicer, than the one that ended up looking like a dead fish.

The only "frog" granny I would consider is the Cosworth version. Take all the badges off, take it to any of numerous Cosworth tuners and use it to embarrass Porsche drivers.

The quickest (in a straight line) car my dad owned while I was growing up was a marina 1800TC. He had an Omega 2.6 estate company car for a while which was a giggle but with 4 children we ended up going through a range of Transit crew/minibuses. Not exactly cool to be dropped off at school in one of those.

My step dad had the GTE. Went like stink!
I knew someone who had the 16v version, now that was rapid! The redtop motor was a stonker and is quite popular now for engine conversions. Shame the handling couldn't match the performance
Yesterday I clocked one of these bad boys;
I knew it was a citroen but had to google it to find the exact model!

That's what we did. Sold the car on to someone who wanted the engine. The rest of the car was junk. Body was so bad the faster you went the louder the whistling through the various rust holes became!
