breakdown truck

Got something to say, but it's not classic related? Here's the place to discuss. Also includes the once ever-so-popular word association thread... (although we've had to start from scratch with it - sorry!)

The person who did that to that Djet needs to die a slow and painful death. There were only 1500 ever built and good examples fetch 30,000 euros.

Not after undoing that monstrosity. Besides, if I turned up with something like that Mrs Pete would probably make me die a slow and painful death :)

While you're in the mood for handing down sentences for crimes against classic cars, Pete, please give life without parole to the muppet who wrecked the mini Countryman. OK, so MK1 Countrymen & Travellers aren't the rarest things on the planet but that gowk's biggest offences there have - IMHO - been the gratuitous use of blind rivets and turning the rear trim pieces into kindling by the premeditated use of a very blunt saw.

Hanging is, in these cases, quite literally too good.

Indeed. The mini is worse than I'd thought and its parentage mixed. The car appears to be a MK3 or later from the front to the B posts, then the rest is the remains of a MK1 or MK2 Countryman so it's not only rougher than one of these:

.. it's a cut & shut too.
Quality finds, Rich, keep these coming!
