Here's the place to chat about all things classic. Also includes a feedback forum where you can communicate directly with the editorial team - don't hold back, they'd love to know what they're doing right (or wrong of course!)
There was a Ferrari Testarossa driving through Ashbourne earlier but going the other way so no opportunity to follow it for a pic or 3.

Not pictures today I'm afraid as I was on my back under the range rover replacing the sump gasket but while looking at the oily underside of my toy, 4 vintage tractors went past prompting me to get out and watch them drive (VERY slowly) up the road followed just after I had got back under the car again by 6 more. I'm afraid that my knowledge of tractors is limited to JCB = yellow, Ford = Blue, John Deere = Green, etc so I have no idea what they all were but it was nice to see them all
Also about 2 dozen minis driving around Derbyshire so I assume there was both a mini show and a tractor show somewhere locally today.

Terry
Depending on where you were at the time you may have seen me and 7 others from the Derbyshire Classic Mini Owners Club travelling from our meeting point, Cherry Tree Services A38/A50 junction at Willington and then along the A50 to Uttoxeter as it was the British Mini Club show there today at the Racecourse. Didn't see any tractors although my son's Mini sounded like one
Mike
Edit. A bit of searching shows that the tractors were at your local show - Bamfords Engine & Machinery Group Rally, Woodhouse Farm Cottage, Nabb Lane, Rocester,
The Minis were in Uttoxeter town and driving down the Rocester Level (road past the JCB world headquarters towards Uttoxeter from Rocester). I didn't venture down to the racecourse today or if had seen minis in there I would have gone in to be nosy.
I live between Rocester and Denstone so if you have been driving about and have seen the big lakes, I live up the road there. JCB sponsor various classic events including the local branch of the MMOC (I am no longer a member so don't tend to go to events arranged by them) which provides frequent classic entertainment.

Not our group then, but there were so many Minis there they must have come from all directions
Wednesday in answer to the Sierra question, Rob. It belongs to a member of staff at the medical practice I go to for my routine maintenance and minor repairs. It's never been inland to the areas where they put salt on the roads and - possibly as a consequence of this - is unwelded and solid. It's yer actual 1.6 in rep spec too, none of that Ghia pish in these parts either!
I'm surprised that Evans' Aston is still blue. Keep an eye on it, it'll be white soon enough.
J "Home is where you park it", so the saying goes. That may yet come true..
It looks like the car next to the Sierra is about to get watered
