 That's one amazing Escort. I can remember three year old ones that needed A-posts, sill repairs, battery trays, slam panels, floor repairs, etc. Yet that one looks better than anything currently to be found in a F**d showroom. Well bought Trigger, that's lovely.

Current proper motor is this little Maxi

It was registered in November 1970, making it 40 years old. I did get a letter back from DVLA confirming it is the oldest 1750 left running. Please note the rear plate is the original and it's staying 8) The original press photos for the facelift had them, see.

Yeah, as one who spends an average of three hours per day seeking out Limeflower Maxi thrashing action on youtube, I've watched the damning evidence.

It sounds so sweet, much less rattly than my red one, seen below - in Windsor Great Park during 1989 - complete with worn timing chain and very little oil pressure  :

As for the Vermillion Maxi 2HLS, Dad's last of 8 that he ran as company cars from 1969 to 1984 (when he replaced it with the Datsun Stanza shewn in the later pics), the picture below, taken in Llandogo (Nr Ross-On-Wye) showed FTN493W when it was only 2 years old, already had holes in a couple of doorskins & its front valance and was on its third engine at a mere 130,000 miles:

Sorry chaps, don't mind me, as you were....

Now that is a nice toy!
Do you ever get tired of shouting "fire up the quattro" before going for a cruise? ;)

The Alfa 6 V6 injection

It's the last one left taxed in the UK.

It's tested too, and for sale
