Complaint? No Terry. :|
I can access eBay perfectly from every location and every machine that I use in the course of a week, it's only links to eBay in practically threads that give me messages saying
An error has happened, try again.

This request has been blocked for security reasons.
Opening in new tabs, as I usually do for ease of returning to the forum page, make no difference and if I copy the item number from the link and try pasting that into the search field on a new eBay tab or window, then I get that other message that said something about the item not being available, etc.
Nothing about my connections, my equipment or my ability to copy lines of text without missing any characters out has changed since last week.

Rich, I hadn't even opened the Renault link earlier, I was so    over the scooters that I forgot about the third link. BUT.. I just opened that one now, I wonder; can goober in the keyboard wreck links? I hope not, this one is on screen!
Odd thing: I just looked in the Guinness Book of Records for the current record holder in the "most foul and yet strangely appealing Renault 11 modification job" category but there was no such category so I've written to the late Roy Castle to ask why.

 How did I not think of this sooner? All I have to do is write down the eBay link then open another window, type it in and hit the return key (or the area of the screen that looks like one).. Yep, that works. :x

It could be because I remove the identifier from the end of ebay links. i'll leave it on the next one so you can try that.

No, I have bags of nuts that are less nutty but in this instance, the filters on your connection may not like the way I post ebay links.

Anyway, will you two please try not to go blind but see if you can access these:

Nope, none of them working here, same message when I click them:
An error has happened, try again.

This request has been blocked for security reasons.

But I've found a possible reason, eBay links on third party sites are currently blocked because.. Well posting the link is quicker:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-29241563

It's not specific to my ISP, indeed the posts affected have been made from several locations on different networks, nor is it specific to browsers as Firefox, Safari, Chromium and Konqueror are all giving me the same result. Seems that eBay are being over cautious and extending their measures to all item links and not just to those pointing to that dodgy telephone-related phishing trip.
So it's not me, and it's not Practicallyclassics' fault either.

Can anyone who uses Internet Exploder and/or a physical (ADSL, Rediffusion, etc.) broadband connection please tell me whether the block affects them?
I have a Windows 7 VB on this machine but removed every last trace of IE as it wouldn't run smoothly with the amount of system RAM that I chose to lend to it so even that only runs Safari or the commercial version of Chromium. I'd try IE under Wine but there's none in the house. :|

They all work fine for me in:
Opera 12, 19 and 25
Firefox 32
Internet explorer 10 and 11.

But that could be because they are links I posted.

Hmm..

OK, so in that case, this link should work for me but might not work for you?

Please let me know and failing that, have a bid at the instrument. Please!
